A workshop discussing the importance of learning in community and how to facilitate communal learning in every home.
This conversation presents a view of multi-age and family-style study as vital to the actual process of learning itself, and encourages mothers to see the span of ages and grades within their homeschools as a gift to foster rather than a challenge to overcome.
Presenting a look at the benefits of communal learning, what occurs when individuals of different ages and abilities learn together, a spectrum of options for implementing communal learning, and practical tips for the logistics of teaching multiple ages, this workshop widens the lens of what can and "should" be learned together and pushes back against the goal of "independent learning".
