Delighting in the World takes a living and delightful approach to geography, immersing learners in the world around them and avoiding the “drill” approach to learning the location of places. In Delighting in the World, students “travel” the united states, becoming familiar with one state of the time, focused upon the state's culture. Each week students spend time exploring the cultures, historical events, and people of a state.
Each week, students read about a State, do some mapping, and become familiar with the state through Biography, Cultural Study, and a variety of Extension Activities.
