Flexible and Varied Math is a philosophical overview of the principles of Variety and Flexibility within Math Instruction and Exploration.
The workshop issues an admonishment about the way that we handcuff ourselves to linear instruction without examining our preconceived notions about Math and asks the question "why do we nullify all that we say that we believe about personhood and education within our math lessons while fiercely protecting a living approach to all other subjects?"
It also gives encouragement to courageously pursue the cultivation of Mathematical Imagination and to dismantle any ideas about Math that have not been intentionally and philosophically formed.
It ends with an overview of "A Week of Math in Our Homeschool", casting a vision for what a free and full pursuit of Imagination and Living Math Education can look like.
