Delighting in the World takes a living and delightful approach to geography, immersing learners in the world around them and avoiding the “drill” approach to learning the location of places. In Delighting in the World, students “travel” the world, becoming familiar with a place through exploration of its culture, people, wildlife, history, and more. Each week, students zoom in on an aspect of a location, exploring its history, natural wonders, and the lives of its people.
Each week, students read, do some mapping, and become familiar with the location through a selection of extension activities.
