Delighting in the World takes a living and delightful approach to geography, immersing learners in the world around them and avoiding the “drill” approach to learning the location of places.
In Delighting in the World, students “travel” the world, becoming familiar with the place through the wonders of its natural history, humans, arts, architecture, and more.
Delighting in the World: NYC is an exploration of the boroughs of New York City and of the state of New York beyond the big city. Students will also explore the connections between the Big Apple and the rest of the United States.
This Student Journal is designed to be used alongside the Delighting in the World: NYC curriculum, providing students with the space and tools for narration and journaling.
Each week, students are provided with readings, journaling prompts, mapping prompts, and extension activities.
